How can Disney fire him from one movie, and then hire him to do another? I’m fully on the side of ‘never firing him in the first place, this is turning into an absurd witch hunt’ but this behavior just seems bizarrely hypocritical and self-defeating. The whole situation is totally nuts.

Why is no one saying anything about the fact that Emile Hirsch is in this movie. Please point to The Playlist talking about that once. Charles Barfield goes to bat for the #MeToo movment when it’s culturally easy targets like Woody Allen (innocent) and Roman Polanski (forgiven by the victim), but not men who beat up women in bars such as Emile Hirsch. It’s definitely of note that no one anywhere is addressing that sort of hypocrisy in reporting.

Terrible review. As to where the film is set – it’s called ARCTIC. It happens in the arctic, literally a whole world away from Antarctica. And I simply cannot believe this incredible film is being panned because it ‘lacks a love story’. Watch High School Musical, FFS.

A superb survival story which is a love song to life itself. Caution: may be wasted on High School Musical fans.
